Systematic Trend Emerges of Silencing Christians Print E-mail

Free Speech Zone

A troubling pattern is emerging across the US where the free exercise of religion and freedom of speech of Christians is being unlawfully hindered. In just the past few weeks we have four startling examples.

  1. Four peaceful Christian witnesses were recently arrested at an Arab Festival in Dearborn, Michigan. Their video cameras, capturing the arrests, were also seized and are not being returned to them.
  2. In Philadelphia, two evangelists were arrested for witnessing on a public sidewalk outside of a mosque. Their videotape of the unlawful arrest was confiscated and destroyed while in police custody.
  3. In Charlotte, North Carolina, a disabled African American pastor was arrested after preaching on the public sidewalk in front of an abortion clinic.
  4. Just a few blocks from the White House, a minister was arrested because he knelt to pray on the public sidewalk in front of Planned Parenthood.

We can't allow these unwarranted attacks on our liberty to go unanswered. This is clearly a trend that is threatening all Christians First Amendment rights.

This is a spiritual battle for the souls of men and women and for the lives of innocent babies.

Christ has commissioned us to preach the gospel to everyone, even Muslims, and no government can lawfully take that right away from us, at least that is what the Founders believed. Preaching the gospel is a God-given duty, so we must have the corresponding God-given right to obey Him. That’s why CADC is here, to expose these unlawful acts and educate rogue police departments when they have stepped over the line. Muslims need to be saved, and the church must be free to evangelize.

The other battle ground is in front of abortion clinics. Somehow, any act of opposition to abortion, no matter how peaceful, is considered a criminal act. This is what we call the abortion distortion. Police over react and now violate the civil rights of ministers and pro-lifers for simply preaching and praying in front of abortion clinics. The blood of innocent children is shed in unspeakable acts of violence inside abortion clinics thousands of times every day, yet peaceful ministers that dare call attention to this vicious attack on innocent babies are considered criminal. God help us!

If we allow this kind of abuse of our rights by the police against Christians to stand, we can only expect more of it! But I can't sit back and do nothing! If you will continue to partner with me, together we can make a difference for the Christians.

Please, help CADC take a stand for America and our First Amendment freedoms!

CADC called on officials in Michigan to investigate and intervene in the situation where Christians are being arrested in Dearborn. Michigan House Member Tim McMillin recently put forth a resolution for the investigation. We must continue to apply pressure and force them to uphold the Constitution! Now we need to come to the aid of Christians in Philadelphia, North Carolina and Washington DC. But I can't do it without you, especially during these lean summer months.

I have asked for the Lord to put it on the heart of 5 of our partners to make a sacrificial gift of $1000 before the end of July. Already Jeff W. of Ohio has taken the challenge. Can you match his gift? Please, seriously pray about joining us as a financial partner.

Otherwise, we need you to make your best gift of $50, $100 or more. With your generous help, we will keep our activists informed, mobilized and growing in strength and number so we can defend our brothers and sisters in Christ.  Please, keep us in your prayers and send your best gift today, click here.
