Deceitful Tactics Threaten Military's Wellbeing Print E-mail

Miltary Threatened by Congress At any time Congress could repeal the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” policy regarding homosexuals in the military. The repeal was deviously attached to the Defense Authorization Act of 2010, a bill concerned with military funding.

The House of Representatives passed the repeal in May, but the Senate has decided to postpone the vote until the military finishes its review in December. This came after including the chiefs of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines urged Congress to wait, and is good news because of the harmful impact the repeal would have on military readiness.

But now, Congressmen have decided to attach another hurtful clause to this funding bill!

The attached language would force you to pay for military abortion clinics. The bill would take your tax dollars and pay for additional military facilities, equipment and personnel all for the task of performing abortions.

This deceitful bill must be stopped!

TAKE ACTION:

Contact your Senator online or over the phone TODAY and urge that they stop this outrageous language from being attached to an important bill. Don’t allow political agenda’s to get in the way of our military’s safety.

For those who cannot see the abortion issue in the defense bill, do a google
search for the 'Burris Amendment'.
