Six months ago Larry Grard was fired by MaineToday newspaper after working there nineteen years, all because of an e-mail he sent from his private account, on his own time, in defense of last November’s successful marriage campaign in Maine. When a same sex marriage activist organization complained to MaineToday about Larry’s e-mail, they fired him and his wife.

We’ve been working hard for Larry to see that his situation was settled equitably, but hope for a reasonable settlement was recently dashed.

After waiting months for an arbitration meeting, MaineToday abruptly backed out at the last minute. Now Larry is forced to continue struggle under this unfair situation.

Christians shouldn’t be fired for expressing their opinion about any issue, especially about something as important as marriage.
