During the 2008 elections many people realized that speaking out in support of biblical morality comes at a high cost. California and Rainbow Flag

 While the democratic process in America is supposed to encourage citizens to engage in the issues, when Christians stand for marriage they are viciously attacked. In California a measure to amend California’s Constitution making marriage only between a man and a woman was on the ballot as Proposition 8.

 

A newly released report from the Heritage Foundation documents how supporters of Prop 8 were the victims of harassment, intimidation, defamation, vandalism, theft, loss of employment, blacklisting and anti-religious bigotry. Young people and even the elderly were victims of violence and ministers received death threats by those who falsely accuse Christians of hate.
