Outrage Grows Against Looming HealthCare Bill Print E-mail
Wednesday, 10 March 2010 15:33
President ObamaAny day now the Senate could pass one of the most devastating bills in recent history. In it many decades of hard work done by the pro-life community could be washed away.

People have risen up against this bill, angry at the audacity of this administration to try to pass something completely in opposition to the will of the people. But President Obama has remained stubborn, and has even amped up his anti-life rhetoric and agenda in the newest health care bill.

Abortion is included in the newest bill, and over and over again Senators from every political spectrum have confirmed its presence.

President Obama promised that not one penny of your tax dollars would go towards funding abortions. But now Obama’s new bill dramatically increases federal funding for abortion, even though over seventy percent of Americans oppose it.

Any vote for Obama’s health care bill is really a vote for taxpayer-funded abortion.

Obama Wants More of Your Money for Abortions! Print E-mail
Thursday, 04 March 2010 17:30

President Barack ObamaAfter months of wrangling, most Americans thought President Obama’s ill fated attempt at passing a healthcare bill was dead. But now a new healthcare bill drafted by President Obama is being considered. Obama’s bill brings major changes to abortion funding, but not in a good way.

Last time, courageous pro-life Congressmen in the House worked tirelessly to stop much of the federal funding of abortion provisions in the previous Senate bill offered by Harry Reid. President Obama even promised that not one penny of your tax dollars would go towards funding abortions.

But now Obama’s new bill dramatically increases federal funding for abortion, even though over seventy percent of Americans oppose it. Any vote for Obama’s health care bill is really a vote for taxpayer-funded abortion.

Rifqa Bary Could be Deported Back to Sri Lanka Print E-mail
Wednesday, 03 March 2010 16:04

Rifqa BaryFor months we have been watching the life and death drama of seventeen year old Rifqa Bary.

Rifqa ran away from home over the summer after her devout Muslim father threatened her life for converting to Christianity. Currently she is foster care in Ohio, but things are getting complicated.

Rifqa returned to court on Tuesday to see if she will be forced to return to her home even though she fears for her life.

New evidence emerged that her family, which is originally from Sri Lanka, is in the country illegally. Rifqa turns 18 in August, and is hoping to stay in foster care until then. If she is deported or forced to live with her family her life is at risk of a Muslim honor killing.

TAKE ACTION:

Pray for Rifqa and then help us keep the pressure on Ohio officials to keep her safe.

Contact Ohio Governor Strickland today and demand that he keep Rifqa safe from her father's threats.

Surge in Christians Targeted and Murdered in Iraq Print E-mail
Tuesday, 02 March 2010 07:20
Mazen IshoaIn 2007, an Iraqi Catholic priest Mazen Ishoa was kidnapped by militants, but was later released after Pope Benedict plead for his safety. But in the last few weeks two gunmen entered Ishoa’s home and opened fire killing his father and two brothers.

Over a few short weeks at least fourteen Aramean Christians have been murdered in Iraq. This is the new frontline of terrorism within the country.

Iraqi churches are being bombed and Christians killed in order to intimidate them and keep them from participating in the upcoming elections. This has resulted in a large exodus of Christians out of the Mosul region.

Christians in Iraq need to be protected.

TAKE ACTION:

Join us in calling upon the State Department to urge the Iraqi government to insure the safety and rights of all religions in Iraq, especially Iraqi Christians.
