You Must Act TODAY to Stop Imposing Bill Print E-mail

Many in Congress are seeking ways to silence Christian and conservative organizations. A bill was just barely struck down by the Senate that would have done just that. If passed, the bill would have imposed heavy-handed reporting requirements on political ads. The Disclose Act required conservative groups to publicly report their donors, but labor unions and other favored groups were exempted.

 

Any bill that discriminates against any kind of political speech because of its point of view clearly violates the First Amendment. This bill is a desperate political move in an attempt to silence Christian and conservative views before the November elections.

 

The bill was defeated in the Senate by the slimmest of margins. Majority Leader Harry Reid promises to bring it back for a re-vote. You must act today to pressure the Senate to stop this unconstitutional bill.

Children Threatened During Traditional Marriage Rally Print E-mail

Traditional Marriage Rally InterruptedIn Providence Rhode Island, a traditional marriage rally was recently held in front of the state Capitol. The occasion was going along peacefully and was attended by concerned individuals and families with children. But the event was abruptly crashed by Queer Action, a hateful homosexual group that resorted to bullying and threatening, even directed their threats towards children.

 

Queer Action surrounded the speakers and shouted them down in an effort to silence them. They even threatened one family that they might kidnap their child, all while the police passively looked on. Rather than protecting the right of Christians to peacefully gather and exercise their freedom of speech, Providence police allowed the civil rights of Christians to be abrogated.  

 

This shocking video shows just what happened.

Masters Student "Unfit" Because of Faith Print E-mail

Jennifer KeetonLike many Christians, Jennifer Keeton had the hopes of becoming a certified counselor. While working on her Master’s degree at Augusta State University in Georgia, she was abruptly placed in remediation. This came after the school learned of her biblical views on homosexuality. They told her that she must participate in a plan to re-educate her beliefs in order to remain in the program.

 

Part of this plan was that Keeton attend a gay pride parade, an event celebrating behavior she finds immoral, and write about how it made her feel. This kind of action on the part of the University is completely out of line. Keeton has brought a lawsuit against the school.

 

Her hopes of becoming a counselor should not be at the cost of her faith. Join us in demanding that the University stop violating Keeton’s first amendment rights.

Contact the President of the Augusta State University, Dr. William Bloodworth, and demand that they stop discriminating against students of faith.

That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it.

 

Rights come to men from God, not Washington DC. Justice is based on the laws of nature and of nature's God, not the tyrannical opinions of men.

Christians Murdered in Front of Police in Pakistan Print E-mail

Christians murdered in PakistanIn Pakistan, Pastor Rashid Emmanuel and his brother, Sajid, were arrested after they allegedly published pamphlets that made blasphemous remarks about Muhammad. The families have maintained their innocence and even the minister of minority affairs says the men were falsely accused. Blasphemy is a crime punishable by death under Pakistani law, but it is only enforced when Muslims claim to be offended.

 

As the police were transporting the brothers from the courthouse, Pastor Emmanuel and Sajid were killed by a masked gunman who then escaped the scene and is still at large. For Christians to be murdered while in police custody is an outrage.

 

The State Department just announced Pakistan will receive five hundred million dollars of US foreign aid.

 

TAKE ACTION:

 

Help us urge the State Department to insist Pakistan change the way it treats Christians, or else cut off the foreign assistance.
